[dropcap style=”font-size: 60px; color: #9b9b9b;”] A [/dropcap]nyone who knows me knows that I would LOVE to have a baby girl.
And it’s not because I don’t love my boys or am not suited to be a boy mom. I’m actually finding myself quite comfortable in my life of planes, trains, cars, loud noises, and dirt. I LOVE my boys. I’m content to be their mama.
Yet I’m finding that my heart beats for baby girls. I have a passion for unwanted, unloved girls. I read Amy Carmichael’s biography when I was a little girl and it has never left me. I would love to rescue girls who are abused through prostitution, would love to adopt little babies who are unwanted, would love to have my own home of girls to love on, I would love to be a voice for these girls who have no voice.
I saw this today and had to share it as it makes my heart hurt –
“Did you know 120 million females are “missing” today because of infanticide, sex-selective abortion and abandonment of baby girls?” Lee Grady
THIS SHOULD NOT BE SO.
My prayer is becoming that if God can use me in any way to help these unwanted beauties who are taken out of existence before they ever even have a chance then here am I. Use my hands, my heart, and my voice.
