– Isaiah 1:17
On Mother’s Day, my dad preached a message about the Daughters of God rising up, and during that message something within me changed. I was going to say that something was sparked in me, but in all actuality, something changed. (There’s a big difference between a spark and a change.) God used that message to speak to my heart and to say “now is the time to get up!!” No more struggling, no more discouragement, no more of living disheartened. Now is the time to rise up. I got the message loud and clear.
And during that same service, He pinpointed someone else and put her on my heart. Thankfully, He also put me on her heart. (I love how God does that.) And so she and I met up, she passed along to me a 10 set cd series of the 2010 Colour Conference (google it if you don’t know what it is), and that led to a whole series of events, which have been so fantastically exciting. So to keep a long story short, I’m only going to share about a few of these events . . . more to come later.
1.) The women of Hillsong are moving forward. They have risen up, and it’s time that we do the same. If you can get any material by Bobbie Houston, Christine Caine, Priscilla Shirer, etc., I highly, highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed. They are headed in the right direction, and it’s time for us to follow and join up with what they are doing.
2.) Our community, our city, our state, our nation, and our world need us. They need to see and experience the love of the Father, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the already accomplished fact of what Jesus has done for us, in us, and through us. They need the Lord, and we have to be the ones who go to them!!
3.) The time is short. Even if we get 50 years more on this earth, it is still short. But what if we only get 5 more, 3 more, 1 more?? What are we doing?
4.) The presence of God, time spent with Him in prayer, and the power of prayer are all things that are necessary in order for us to accomplish what is listed above in Isaiah 1:17.
5.) The Justice Project. If you attend City on the Hill, and you missed my announcement about the Justice Project, then e-mail me, call me, talk to me, Hav, Bridget, or Debbie about it. And if you go to COTH and don’t know Bridget Tompkins or Debbie Matthews, then you need to meet them. 🙂 It’s also time for us as women to join together and connect with one another as we NEED each other.
