[dropcap style=”font-size: 60px; color: #9b9b9b;”] H [/dropcap]ow to describe my firstborn . . . we went to Walmart yesterday to look for a birthday gift, and while we were there, he told me how much he loved me and followed it with a hard kick to my legs. 🙂 This is life with an extremely busy, active, observant, emotional, smart boy. I love him to pieces, but he’s a challenge.
I will never forget the day of his birth (how could I with all that it involved?) and lying on the hospital table, exhausted after 31 hours of labor and pushing, followed with a c-section, and then hearing his first cry. My immediate thought was “oh goodness, he is loud.” And he has continued to be loud. I then got to see him as Mark held him up to my face, and he had a beautifully handsome old face. His eyes already seemed to have years in them, and he was perfect looking. Just perfect. And again, this is my boy. He is the most handsome young man, and he watches and observes everything.
Three years later, he is now an older brother who LOVES his brother Ezzy. He also loves trains, watching “shows” on netflix, playing outside, and being with his family. He continues to love music, dancing, and playing the drums. We do our best to teach him about God and Jesuse, and he has learned one prayer – “In Jesus’ name, no more owies!!” He talks about Jesus, which is good, but still doesn’t have all the details straight. He hates loud noises (always has), gets scared of crocodiles (as they live in the kitchen), and loves ice pop and ice cream and pink cake and donuts. Every week, he gets to spend his mornings with Hav on Mon & Tues, then Daddy on Wed & Thurs, then Chan ‘n’ Pop on Fri & Sun. He can count to about 16, but just not in order, and he loves to “read”.
