[dropcap style=”font-size: 60px; color: #9b9b9b;”] J [/dropcap]ust want to share something real quick –
Something that I so hope to pass on to my kids is the ability to sing, dance, and worship our God no matter the trial. As a former critical, negative, glass half-empty type of girl, I can happily say that God is so good in how He teaches us!! He’s teaching me to dance, love, cry, sing, pray, do whatever it takes to offer my sacrifice of praise as that’s what changes us. We are changed in His presence!! This life can get burdened and heavy by circumstances, and yes, circumstances are real. But we don’t have to dwell in them. We can go higher by choosing to look at Him, by choosing to go deep in Him. That’s where the heart surgery, the character development, the eternal fruit is worked within us. It’s painful to the flesh, but it’s so good to the spirit.
As I was praying over our circumstances this morning, I realized that we’re in the same boat that we were in last year, and the year before, and the year before that! The road ahead is full of questions, yet my heart is full. My body is tired and ailing because of it, but my joy is full. That is God!! That is a God change in this heart of mine. He is good. He knows our need, and He’s on it. And I can rejoice my way through it.
I keep getting this picture of my forehead to God’s as I look at Him and focus only on Him. The devil would have me look at our lack, our need, our trials, but that’s not what the Word says. The Word says that we look at Him as His yoke is easy and His burden is light when we are yoked up with Him and we let Him lead.
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11
So here’s some rejoicing music . . .
