[dropcap style=”font-size: 60px; color: #9b9b9b;”] I [/dropcap] have actually been writing posts over the last few weeks; I just haven’t published them. Life is like that sometimes; some things need to be processed . . . but kept in privacy. 🙂

So seeing how it is now 2013, let’s talk New Year Resolutions. Truthfully, I don’t really do resolutions, but I do try to be purposeful in writing down what I’d like to see for this next year. My list basically looks like this:

1.) Read the Word of God more. Become one who studies the Word, not just reads it.

2.) Love more. Love my family more and love the random stranger that I encounter at the store.

3.) Be more patient. (My husband says, “yes, Lord, please help my wife with this.”) 😉

4.) Exercise! What a novel idea . . . yet as the big 35 approaches, I need to get serious about taking care of my health.

5.) Eat better. We normally do eat pretty healthy, but we’ve really slacked off since Thanksgiving. So it’s time to go back to healthy eating. Cutting back on the cheese and fattening sauces; adding in far more veggies, fruits, and fish.

6.) Simplify in every area. Our house desperately needs this . . .

7.) Find one avenue in which I can pour out into the community. This is hard one due to my time schedule, but I’m determined to find something that will fit into my week.

How do you all approach a new year? Anyone make a list and really keep to it?
