I just had to post this, because I thought it was a very, very good thought.
As I’ve been listening to Priscilla Shirer, she made this statement – “Even on her best day, the most a good friend can do is sympathize with you.” Meaning no one walks in your shoes. Even if you find a friend who is exactly like you, the most she can do is listen and sympathize with whatever you’re going through. And not to sound preachy, but the reason for this is that we’re suppose to share our hearts, trials, tears, joys, heartache, etc. with Jesus first. We’re to lean on Him, His counsel, His thoughts, Him before we go and lean on someone else.
This has had me thinking for quite a while . . .
